When Your Comment Gets Ignored — And You Know Why

By Glennae Davis, RN | Glennae’s RX for Life®

Pivot. Profit. Promise.

The other day I commented on a high-profile nursing leadership post. You know the kind—filled with executive titles, national partnerships, and discussions on “solutions” to burnout, workplace retention, and the nursing workforce crisis.

I offered a thoughtful, personal contribution rooted in real frontline experience. I introduced Glennae’s RX for Life® and the Be Brave Nurse Recovery System, which supports nurses—especially Black women—through burnout, moral injury, and the invisible wounds of workplace discrimination. I spoke from the trenches. I offered solutions.

And I got nothing.Not a like. Not a reply. Not a reshare.

Meanwhile, comments from others—many with less depth and no clear solutions—were acknowledged, celebrated, and engaged.

So I did what we’re told to do: I followed up directly. The reply? Polite. Vague. Dismissive.“Thanks for your work. I can’t engage with every comment.”

And maybe that’s true. But we also know this: Some voices get welcomed. Others get tolerated. And some—especially Black women naming hard truths—get ignored entirely.

But I’m not here to be liked. I’m here to save lives and careers. That’s why I built Glennae’s RX for Life®. Because nurses are returning from medical leave misdiagnosed, overmedicated, and unprepared. Because discrimination is being treated like depression. And because the system isn’t changing fast enough for those of us who can’t afford to wait.

So if your voice has ever been passed over in a room you should’ve been leading—know this:You're not the problem. You're the pattern-breaker.And you deserve your own platform.

I didn’t burn out.I built the answer I needed. And now I offer it to nurses like you:
